We look forward to working with everyone in the upcoming school year.
To the people who made it in: Take this chance as an opportunity to tap into your potential. A big part of ASB is growing as a person. Throughout your semester you will meet new friends and learn a lot about each other as well as yourself. Remember to always work hard and strive to be the best person you can possibly be. Another big part of ASB is teamwork. As the year progresses, we become a family as we spend 56minutes each day in 4th period planning, prepping, and executing our ideas. It is important that each person puts in his/her fair share because in the end, the entire outcome will be represented as ASB, not 30something individual students. Lastly, just remember to be yourself. Do not be afraid to open up because that is when the best ideas come out. YAY. (:
To the people who didn’t make it: We are sorry that we couldn’t accept you this time, but you guys can ALWAYS try out again! Take this opportunity to grow a little more and figure out where you want to be in high school. Please try your best to not be too angry with our decision. We understand that not getting accepted isn’t the best feeling in the world, but as a person, understand that life moves on and there will be plenty more chances in the future. If you go online and insult the idea of ASB, then maybe you should rethink about joining; ASB is about gaining leadership and setting examples. Remember, everything posted on the internet is PERMANENT so don’t say anything you will regret. Think about everything you post. Don’t be irrational. Afterall, posting something online can hurt your future chances of not only ASB but possibly other opportunities ahead for you.

01/07/11 Class Council&ASB applications are due in the Activities office by the end of lunch. No exceptions. Please make sure you have your signatures.
01/10/11 Campaigning begins for Class Councils & Executive board (Posters must be approved by the office&ASB.Wearable advertisements are fine as long as other candidates aren’t targeted at)
01/12/11 Talent show auditions are after school in the choir room.
01/14/11 Come listen to the Executive Board candidates at the speech assembly. Get to know them before deciding your second semester ASB President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
01/18 - 01/21 Voting for Class Council and ASB during lunch.
02/11/11 ASB proudly presents Sadies 2010 “WII FIT TOGETHER” A workout theme. $8 w/ASB, $10 w/o, $12 @the door. 7-11PM in the Matador Arena.

Freshmen Summit
We hope you all are having a fabulous, stress free summer. To start off the new school year, San Gabriel is having Freshman Summit on August 7th. Mr. Ma asked for all clubs/ sports/ and class councils to have a representative at Freshmen Summit to have a Club Faire just for freshmen. The ICC Meeting Scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.
Hello fellow San Gabriel students. Just as the title of this post says, the ICC Meeting that was scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. Please spread the word! We apologize for any inconvenience that this cancellation may have caused you.
Thank you for attending this year’s ICC meetings and putting up with everyone in Clubs and Committees. Sorry for the uncalled for swearing and yelling that you all had to endure. Hopefully, next year’s ICC meetings will be a lot smoother and a bit less hectic.

Food Faire Tomorrow
Just a Reminder: Food Faire is tomorrow! It will be in the original place and reps can only come out 20 min before the bell for lunch rings. Good luck selling!
Deadlines
The deadline for the Food Faire item and representatives is Friday, May 7th. All clubs are allowed THREE representatives each.
The deadline for all Food Faire forms (fundraiser request, cash box, sign request) is Monday, May 17th at the end of the day.
To everyone who is participating in the blood drive tomorrow, Good Luck. Drink plenty of water and stay safe.
Class Council and ICC Meeting
Happy Saturday everyone. This is just a reminder that there is a mandatory meeting on Monday, May 3rd during lunch in the choir room for anyone who would like to be in Class Council or in ASB next year. This is where you’ll get your application form and learn about the rules and things like that.
There is also an ICC meeting on Wednesday, May 5th. that is mandatory for any club that would like to participate in Food Faire on May 20th. If you know of anyone who is in a sports or performing team that would like to be in Food Faire, please tell them to go to the ICC meeting. The meeting will be during lunch at the Choir room. If there are any problems with attendance, please contact ASB during fourth period.
